The mooring and unmooring of vessels is impossible to perform without the service of professional, fully qualified and trained boatmen. Although this procedure can sometimes be overlooked, the operation of mooring and unmooring of ships can be extremely hazardous if not executed correctly. All boatmen working on behalf of Clifford Shipping Services (Thames) Ltd are fully MCA trained and have in depth knowledge of the Thames and Lower Thames waterways. Often our boatmen work in exposed locations during all winter weathers. Clifford Shipping Services (Thames) Ltd has over 40 years of experience working on the river Thames and Hoo peninsular and have undertaken over 45,000 mooring operations in this time with an excellent safety record.
Safety Boats Attendance
Clifford Shipping Services (Thames) Ltd can also assist in the maintenance of jetties and terminal’s river side maintenance by supplying the support of a safety boat and crew. Our safety boat and crew will assist terminals by overseeing the safety of their workmen as they carry out their tasks over or near the river. Our safety crew are fully trained in all emergency procedures.
